And Here we are...

I am so excited! We got family pictures taken a few weeks ago! We haven't had any taken since Cody and I's wedding which means we didn't have any with the girls in them.
I think they turned out awesome! Thanks Gina for braving the bone chilling cold to do this for us, you're a gem!

The rest of us were cropped out of this pic because we were blinking or whatever, but it's precious of my Maycie Rae!...

The only thing Syd wanted to do was play in the snow, and she was already so cold!...

My handsome boys!...

Oh, I love these faces so much!...

And I love this man so much!

Final totals!!

Just wanted to let you all know that we got the totals on Thomas Kammeyer's Anything for a Friend event. We raised over $19,000!!! We had an amazing night and I feel so blessed to have been able to be a part of something so unbelievable. Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou to all of you who helped with the event and came to support us that night. There are pics posted on my facebook for those who want to see before I can get them on here. Love you all!

Update on Anything for a Friend

Ok...I just wanted to post an update on what's going on with the event we're doing for Thomas Kammeyer. It is going to be held on Saturday, December 11 at the Legacy Events Center in Farmington, which is located at the fairgrounds. We will be doing silent and live auctions, there will be a dinner catered by Texas Roadhouse and a kids corner which will include pictures with Santa.
We are in major need of items to be donated for the auctions, and we also need cellophane, baskets and yellow ribbon to assemble the baskets. Also, if you know of any businesses or anyone who would like to become a sponsor of the event, let me know. All of the information about the event as well as a list of items we have received for the auctions is at www.anythingforafriend.com . Please check out the website and TELL YOUR FRIENDS!

Anything for a Friend

Last night I went to an organizing meeting to plan a "Anything for a Friend" fundraising event for my friend Jordan and her husband Thomas. I am so excited to be a part of this organization and to help plan this event. Please go to www.anythingforafriend.com to see what I'm talking about. There was a lady there, Becky Anderson, she was the first recipient of "Anything for a Friend" and she told us her story. When I first heard about this a few weeks ago, I thought yeah, I will help because it's Jill and it's Jordan and it's a sad story, but after hearing her talk about this organization and hearing that just since her event in April, they've raised over $85,000 for just a couple people, I am even more excited to be a part of something so amazing.
I will post more details about Thomas' event as I go to more meetings and get them, but for now, please mark your calendars for Saturday, December 11 and plan to come support this awesome cause. There is an event tomorrow, Saturday, September 25 at Jensen Park in Syracuse for little Kambri Jeffers who is 10 years old battling cancer. You can find more info about her event on the website also.
We are in need of more committee members for Thomas' event, so if anyone wants to help that way, let me know. We also need items for a live and silent auction and we are also having a "retail" section at the event if any of you crafty gals would be willing to make things and donate them to be sold at the event, that would be totally awesome too! Thanks!
Also, an update on Thomas.....he is currently in the hospital having another 5 day round of chemo and is expected to come home today! They found out earlier in the week that the chemo they are using has shrunk the tumors in his chest a little, so for now, they will stick with that. He will be home for 2 weeks and then do it over again. If you want to hear more of Thomas and Jordan's story, go to www.thomasroadtorecovery.blogspot.com . They are amazing people. They are always so positive and upbeat and I am amazed by it considering what they are dealing with.
